The course for those wanting that gentle pre-amble to GCSE level working in a small and inclusive face-to-face setting. Using a selection of classic texts and fun debate topics we will further develop our understanding of key areas and dip our toes into a selection of past paper questions too. 

Expect debate, teamwork and robust development of persuasive skills and imaginative writing. Enjoy work on comprehension, “extended response” projects and a deep dive into the writer’s toolkit of meanings and effects.
