Who's it for ?

We will work through a variety of Montessori materials, exploring key mathematical principles with manipulative materials from the comfort of the Evolving Planes classroom in Bramcote.

Tailored to suit your child’s needs, Montessori maths materials are recognised worldwide and still replicated in modern Montessori classrooms today. Using beads, blocks and boards, Montessori believed that children intuitively absorb understanding of mathematical concepts and operations through seeing and doing with these carefully designed resources. Starting with place value and branching out into operations, through static and dynamic problems and into abstractions can be a great way to enjoy a mathematical journey or could be used to complement and demystify work on algebra and geometry.

Montessori maths is one of my big passions and I’m happy to work with children from reception up to pre GCSE level at a time of mutual convenience.
